Folded Rosebuds Supply List

  1. Background Fabric, 1 Fat Quarter
  2. Green for Stems, 1 Fat Quarter, Batiks work well.
  3. Fabric scraps, 4” square or larger for rosebuds.
  4. Blue Washout Marking Pen and/or Clover White Marking Pen depending on foreground fabric color
  5. Pencil
  6. Clover Easer Pen
  7. Mettler 60/2 and/or YLI #100 silk thread for appliqué to match foreground fabric (or in the case of silk nearly match)
  8. Basting thread in contrasting color and needle for basting.
  9. Size 11 or 12 Appliqué needles, I prefer to use Piecemakers, Size 12.
  10. Thread Heaven Thread Conditioner
  11. Appliqué Pins, ½” or ¾”.
  12. Appliqué Scissors, small, sharp to the point, I prefer Micro-serrated Ginghers
  13. Paper cutting scissors, small, sharp to the point.
  14. Bamboo skewers 4”, available at most grocery stores.
  15. Freezer Paper, available at most grocery stores.
  16. Your preferred thimble for appliqué.
  17. Thimble-It
  18. Small piece of template plastic, 4" square or larger
